ADVOCAP, Inc is an established, recognized leader with over 50 years of experience in delivering effective anti-poverty and self-sufficiency programs and services. We are a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency committed to our mission of “creating opportunities for people and communities to reduce poverty and increase self-sufficiency.”
We are seeking an individual to join our team as our Home Delivered Meal Driver as a substitute. This position could cover Winnebago County working as a substitute driver delivering meals to homebound elderly, using an Agency vehicle.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with packing up the nutritious meals for delivery
- Have the ability to drive a route delivering meals to homebound elderly on an as needed basis
- Meal delivery is scheduled around lunch time
- When called in or scheduled to work the schedule is Monday—Friday starting at 10am and work up to 3 hours per day, based on route
- During assigned route, provide welfare check and bring your friendly attitude to see smiles of hope in the elderly
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving history acceptable to our insurance carrier, required
- Acceptable drug screen and comprehensive background check.
SALARY & BENEFITS
On call position with a starting pay of $14.84 per hour. This on call position will have access to vacation, sick and holiday pay, and our employer-contribution 401k.
